Filling last week at the local Costco was $0.40 cheaper than filling at the other gas stations. Add in the kickback from a Costco card and it becomes significant savings over the course of the year. Very rarely do I have to wait in line to fill at Costco here.
I have 5", 7" and 9" cans with a TBAC Dominus (6.25") currently in jail. I carry the 5" on my big game rifles with 22" barrels and find it the most convenient for that purpose. The sound suppression isn't on par with the 7" but it is nicer to carry. If I were to only have one can, a 7" would be...
If MT considers limiting NR hunter numbers per region, I think they should also consider reducing the length of the NR season for mule deer. Perhaps limit them to the first two weeks of the current rifle season. IMO region/unit caps and shortened seasons need to to happen so let's get the show...
Anything can happen but I would be shocked if ARC rings torqued to Ted's recommended specs are the issue.
Swapping the scope in question to another rifle proven to shoot, and swapping another scope to the rifle currently wearing the Leupold seems like a solid method to determine if the Leupold...
I used a 140 eld-m in a 6.5 prc on a cow elk this season. 300 yard broadside shot behind the shoulder. Complete pass through. She walked about 20 yards, wobbled and tipped over.
I was born and raised in R7 and still spend lots of time there. For many decades there have been lots of out of state plates. I don't think that is anything new. What I never saw 30 years ago were loads of 7, 6, 4 and 2 license plates in R7.
As far as more NR harvesting bucks I think a lot of...
I shot an average sized cow elk this fall. Due to time constraints I took all four bone-in quarters to a processor. Total weight was 131# of bone in quarters. Unfortunately I did not weigh the back straps, loins and trimmings that I kept and processed at home. I can update this post if/when I...
Frozen fish (walleye, salmon, halibut) has been very well received by landowners that have allowed friends and I to hunt. Ag producers often don't have time off in the warmer months to catch fish of their own but enjoy eating it.
Also, cards simply containing pictures of smiling folks with...
Glad that you are ok! Sounds like a scary ordeal but you did a good job keeping your composure. Valuable reminder for all of us to be careful and prepared.
My first big game rifle was a Winchester Model 70 Lightweight chambered in .243 win. I worked all summer to save up and pay for that rifle. I purchased it from the local hardware store. It was about $650 if I recall correctly. I shot my first buck with it when I was 12 and a handful of deer in...
