What is the biggest challenge for you in hunting?

Time...and it's not even close. I don't get vacation days in the fall, so at best I get a long weekend. That's why I have to look out of state for hunts either over Christmas break or the summer.

    Boots that don’t leak.

My Crispi Hunters have been waterproof for me since I bought them in 2016.

    Wyoming Unit 7

Oct. 15 - Nov. 20 doesn't feel like a short rifle season to me. Maybe I'm just too used to the Snowies' 2-week season.

New Nightforce scope can't be zeroed at 100 yards??

I agree...until I switch ammo and the impact point changes.

New Nightforce scope can't be zeroed at 100 yards??

To close this all out, apparently I ordered the wrong mounts. The mounts for a 9-lug Mark V are different than the mounts for the 6-lug Mark V (even though they have the same hole spacing). Apparently for the 6-lug Mark V, you need the mounts for a Mark V LT. If this proves not to be true after...

New Nightforce scope can't be zeroed at 100 yards??

I'm on hold to talk with customer support right now.

New Nightforce scope can't be zeroed at 100 yards??

No. At least they're not supposed to.

New Nightforce scope can't be zeroed at 100 yards??

Update: Very impressed with Nightforce's customer service. They called me back this morning -- I had only emailed their customer service last night around 4. We worked through some troubleshooting and determined that my mounts were apparently not the same -- the front mount was lower than the...

New Nightforce scope can't be zeroed at 100 yards??

It's not a tactical turret, so there isn't really a zero stop. I ran it down at least 60 MOA from wherever it started when it finally stopped. I've emailed Nightforce as well, so hopefully they'll get in touch with me to do some troubleshooting.

New Nightforce scope can't be zeroed at 100 yards??

No. It has a strong 1/16" clearance.

New Nightforce scope can't be zeroed at 100 yards??

Thanks, but I didn't buy a premium setup to have to salvage a solution. If it doesn't work, it's going back. I've got plenty of Burris Fullfield's that don't have this problem and cost a fraction of what the Nightforce did.

New Nightforce scope can't be zeroed at 100 yards??

Agreed. I'm just trying to figure out what.

New Nightforce scope can't be zeroed at 100 yards??

They are different, but the hole spacing is different, so I don't think I have them swapped.

New Nightforce scope can't be zeroed at 100 yards??

I just mounted a Nightforce SHV 3-10x42 on a Weatherby Mark V Accumark Pro in a 6.5 Creedmoor using a Leupold Backcountry two-piece scope mount (rings and bases are combined). While trying to zero it at 100 yards, I run out of adjustment. Dropping the impact to its lowest point (turret won't...

    Successful Letting them Grow stories???

Then to me, it's a no-brainer. Passing him up probably won't let him grow. Unless to have a decent amount of control over what gets shot and what doesn't for the bulk of the buck's habitat, I think you're just passing him up for the next guy to shoot.

Picked up a 6.5 Creedmoor, ammo?

I hunt with 142 gr Nosler Accubond LR, but shoot ELD-X off the bench because they're cheaper and easier for me to find. Out of my multiple 6.5 CMs, they have the same POI without adjusting anything on the scopes. If I were hunting only antelope, I would just use the ELD-X. I had terrible luck...
