WYGF March 18 updated proposals
Could you clarify what counts as access? I think they can allow very limited access (not advertised or public) and still count it. Am I wrong? I know I've called landowners listed on the G&F website as allowing access only to be told gruffly that they don't need any hunters. So did they...- Cornell Cowboy

Did USSR (Eastern Bloc) Produce Solid Steel Bullet Ammo?

Deer - lets see em
My youngest son's (10 yrs old) first big game animal! Killed this whitetail in Texas today. 70 yards. Double-lung with a 223 shooting 55 gr Barnes TSX. Saw no deer on the first day. This was the first and only deer we saw on the second day. Proud of his shooting and perseverance!- Cornell Cowboy

Elk .... Let's see them!!!
First elk for both my boys (12 & 13). Belly crawled to top of a ridge with a herd of 200+ across the draw. Couldn't get any closer than 325 yards. When both boys had their crosshairs on the cow they wanted, I counted down 3, 2, 1, shoot. They shot simultaneously and dropped their cows 50 yards...- Cornell Cowboy

Need tripod to hold rifle for my son
Not sure why you need a tripod. I had to take my son out this year after he broke his arm playing football. Harris bipod on my 6.5 CM worked very well. Dropped a nice antelope at 250 yds with one shot shooting one-armed. I brought a bog pod with me, but since I was having to carry the rifle too...- Cornell Cowboy

My 11-yr old just killed his first mule deer and Wyoming deer today. It's an early birthday present for him...he turns 12 tomorrow. What was your first big game rifle, and do you still have it?
30-06 in a Remington 700 BDL topped with a Burris Fullfield. I saved all summer to pay half and Dad paid the other half. Entire setup cost $434 back in 1991. I still have it and hunt with it, although my elk gun is now a 338 WM and for antelope and deer it varies from a 6.5 CM to a 300 WM.- Cornell Cowboy

My oldest boy just got his first big game animal in Wyoming! He broke his arm playing football this season so he had to shoot one-armed of a bipod. Made a nice double-lung from 250 yds!!- Cornell Cowboy
