    If a whitetail is alert and not comfortable with the situation it’s not a good shot. You have to wait until they relax and go back to feeding or doing what they where doing. Bow hunting is often more about encounters than shots. Congrats on your first deer with a bow! Glad you found her.

    Thanks, I’ll keep my eye on that little lake. I shot 3 coot yesterday. I’ve heard that they taste horrible and I’ve heard that they are great. Only thing I can do is try them myself. They are interesting birds. I didn’t know anything about them until I started trying to be a waterfowl hunter.

    There’s a bear in my neighbors trash right now. Do I go chase the bear away and possibly wake him up? Or do I let the bear make a huge mess that he has to clean up in the morning and hope that he’ll learn a lesson and keep his trash in his shed or garage like the rest of the neighborhood?
