    Old duck decoys

I took the weights and string off of them and put them on a shelf in my man cave just as they are. I’m more excited about them than my bride is 😃

    Old duck decoys

I got these old decoys that my great uncle made years ago. Do I put them on a display shelf as is or give them some fresh paint? If I paint them do I paint them how they were originally painted or get creative with the paint and make some pairs? A pair of mallards, a pair of black ducks, etc.

Just another day walleye fishing in canoe country…

Anchor! I use a light weight galvanized anchor, probably weighs 6 or 7 pounds and holds great. In a canoe be sure to use a knot that you can release quickly with one hand in case a few big rollers come your way. Something I’ve only had to do once but probably saved me from a canoe full of water...

Just another day walleye fishing in canoe country…

In the summer I do a lot of slip bobber fishing. Light line, tiny hooks and jumbo leeches. Most of the structure I fish is 8-14’. It’s not the best way to catch numbers but works well for bigger fish on the lakes that I fish. Plus I find bobber fishing more fun than trolling lindy rigs or...

Our best walleye fishing day this year

Thursday was my birthday so my wife and daughter agreed to go to one of my favorite BWCA lakes with me on Friday. It’s a long day trip but we managed to get about 4 hours of fishing time and we pounded ‘em. My daughter finished the day with this heavy 30” fish.

    Northeast Washington

I’m looking for the good, the bad, and the ugly. Specifically Colville/Kettle Falls area. We have an opportunity to relocate there and it seems like a great area. Is there anyone who lives or has lived there that is willing to chat for a bit sometime about the area? Thanks, Kevin.

    Colville/Kettle Falls Washington

Are there any active members that live in this area that are willing to chat on the phone sometime? Trying to get as much insight as possible; schools, winter weather, summer weather, amenities, bugs, allergies, local politics, etc. This is a really tough decision. Thanks, Kevin

    $49.44

After some time to digest my grocery bill I found a silver lining; a $1000 rifle only costs 20 small bags of groceries, a $200 fishing rod only cost 4 small bags of groceries.
