Question for the more experienced Mulie hunters out there. I went out scouting this week. I located some deer, and hiked back to a possible glassing spot that I wanted to see in person- but am I wasting my time, scouting this early? Will the deer move so far away, or the conditions between now...
Ethics as a whole is certainly falling- I can see that, and I have only been hunting big game for 19 years.
However, legal road hunting is not really an ethical issue, especially with elk-sized game. I think the larger issue
is the increase in your average hunter's weight over the last 20...
Same in Cheyenne. I even saw a few boxes of 7mm-08 and one box of .243 on a shelf, yesterday. It has been months since I have seen either one of those.

Yes, do that. I think that you'll be surprised at how fun Pronghorn hunting is. Stop by Cheyenne on your way in if you want- I'll treat you to dinner, and we can swap hunting and fishing stories.
No luck over the last weekend, I'm guessing? I am surprised that you labeled it as the "last" weekend of deer season. Muzzleloader season is still open. Historically, my family bagged most of our deer on deep snow muzzleloader hunts.
