I guess I am mostly indifferent between 4 & 5. But I think 4 would generate more 1st choice applicants for the “general” tag that would use PP, thus keeping point creep better suppressed in other low-point units for a little bit longer. With 5, limiting to specific units, I feel most of those... -

NR here. I hope to never hunt OTC in CO again, so please make it as hard to as you want. Caps, draws, whatever. I hate what a s-show OTC Colorado elk hunting has become in many formerly placid areas. I’m willing to wait for better hunts. -
Processing Time - Start to Finish?
A deer takes about an hour to quarter, take backstraps, tenderloins, and usable from ribs, neck, brisket area. Then I usually put tenderloins and backstraps in the fridge, quarters on ice to process later. That takes about 3-4 hours incl grinding, vacuum sealing, cleanup. I am pretty detailed...- Bullshot

I am uninterested in ID this year, most years really. It’s not as viable a backup plan/opportunity as it is thought or that it was. this is what drives me nuts. these states know their system represent an enormous waste of time, great uncertainty, and often unfairness (losing places in line, system crashes, advantages for bots) for many tens of thousands of people, on a work day, when it can be solved by a handful of good IT...- Bullshot

Never bone out shoulder again
Finally did it. You cannot screw this up (and I tried). 1st I put in on the grill, low, basted in oil and covered in Costco “Spice Islands” taco seasoning. Tried to smoke some wood but then my propane ran out after less than an hour. Moved inside to a covered roasting pan with crushed tomatoes...- Bullshot

P.S. It was 80+ degrees today and for next two days… for crying out loud the peak of the rut is just around the corner and it should be 30-40 degrees colder in the day and freezing at night. Nope, not this year, at least not yet! -

In case you are hunting in the east and wondering why you are not seeing more bucks… this is why. They allow you to unknowingly walk in a full circle around them until you are about 10 feet away and even then it can take confirmed eye contact for 10 seconds or the wrong movement before they flip... -

Good lord, everyone knows the 30-06 is obsolete. Damned unethical fool… least you could do is use a harder to find fad cartridge with a much smaller bullet with barely any difference in trajectory in a much more expensive rifle, at least then we’d know you weren’t in a coma.
