Reread my post. I was referring to the deer hunting conditions and asking when is enough to require change. Im guessing there isn’t so hunters can keep shooting themselves a solid meat buck on the final couple days of the season. In reality a doe would give them more meat then the forky that...
Not that bad? I’m curious when the current situation becomes “bad”. When a 140” is all the sudden considered a “solid MT buck”? Just wait for another few years at the current pace.
Most states you barely get a resident deer tag at half that price so I think MT residents and youth will survive the criminal act of a handful of tags for $62-$77
Completely agree they’re significantly different and why I asked how it would affect each type of area differently. Being from the central part of the state I wanted to know how it would impact both our general tag side and yours limited permit side. It seems like the hound license requirement...
Thanks @Gerald Martin . So business would stay the same in the regions I highlighted in my previous post (general tag becomes unlimited for region specific areas) and change in the current limited quota areas across MT. Just wanted to verify. A few areas had Tom quotas around here closed by Dec...
Am I missing how it will circumvent the 90/10 split? I thought the 90/10 split only counted towards the NR hound license required to run your own dogs for your own tag (set at 10% of the areas quota last year). NR were forced into using outfitters last year unless they drew the hound permit to...

Scroll down to statewide proposals and you’ll see the portion talking about removing the 900-20. Something to watch for before planning too much on it.
Proposals are also covered here...
Yea, it’s an easy set up and plenty of room. Ended up going with a couple painter canvases on the floor so we can just pick them up and shake them out at the end of the hunt. Floor is heavy duty but the canvas is a nice layer or protection and comfort.
Had to use their warranty twice on the same scope. When it came back the second time I sold the scope without opening the box and moved on to leupold. Haven’t had an issue since. Wouldn’t mind trying some other brands in the future. I won’t go back to vortex though.
This 100%. To see it click with the dogs the first time is a proud moment after the countless hours of working and training with them. To see the hunt drive grow even more is better. Congrats on the lion @Trial153!
This as far as roads and trails. A bear can go a hell of a lot farther than a lion can so I couldn’t imagine a houndsman wanting to cut lose in some of the more rugged and roadless areas of that map. I know my two hounds will stay home during the bear season so I can still enjoy spot and stalk...
Used this tent about 10 nights for an elk hunt. Zero holes or leaks and the footprint was always used. Rain fly, tent body, foot print, and poles/stakes are in great shape. Asking $225 OBO TYD.
