Montana General Archery vs Rifle Pressure
Judging by the number of broken off broadheads in the elk friends of mine have killed in rifle season around dillon I would say there are a lot of archery hunters down there. (maybe not the best shot archery hunters at that) -

"Shooting hours are from one-half hour before sunrise to one half hour after sunset for both zones." I asked fish and game about their decision in Montana to not allow shooting after sunset they said that was a federal thing yet here in these regs it is different? A vote to increase resident permit cost in Montana
Might be a tough sell. Landowners/ hunters are paying a lot more. On top of that the wasted dollars could take a sharper look. For example the " public comment" meetings where 4 fwp members show to get "input" yet dont really intake said input. Yet there is a shortage of wardens and they "cant... -

I also am not an expert but what I have seen is this. Elk numbers outside if 3 safe havens on private land have drastically decreased. Fish wildlife and parks answer has been more tags on public land to seemingly finish off what is left. I know people that I have discussed this with in my area... -

Years ago when it was pushed into other states, I wonder if we all as hunters stood together saying no it would of mattered. Now years and states later it is "your turn" to have it done in your state. It is worse than you think it will be. The good old days are gone.
