I doubt the magnets are strong enough to cause interference unless you hold your phone right against it. The magnets in digiscoping adapters like Ollin do interfere with the internal compass but even that is minimal since your phone is using movement to determine your heading most of the time.
The easiest solution is take the second horse. Like mentioned above they stand quieter and the extra mountain miles never hurt for the pack horse as well.
Just a heads up that this process definitely DOES NOT release the tension in your limbs as the cables are still holding the bow in position. If you back the bolts out to far your gonna have a bad day even with that pin in place.
Had one in the sons car a couple years back. Same thing. Tried traps and the soap and dryer sheets to no avail. I finally took the thing for a ride and drove like a madman swerving all over the place. Never saw it again.
