I think an effective solution to today's draw problems will be of a marketing nature not so much based on longevity rewards. We need to convince people to spend more points every year. At a restaurant you use certain tactics with your menu like boxes around certain items or bold print etc. to...
I would not feel comfortable sharing the files for the adapter. Like I said before, I made some assumptions and modeled it myself but the design is completely a copy of the Magview.
I will preface this with saying that I am not here to fight anyone on this but rather just to put my 2 cents out there that I think we have to be cautious about going full tilt like a Peterbilt against SM and the entertainers who make productions for people like us just to miss the opportunities...
I think this is a very shortsighted statement. I believe the popularity of the influencers is driven by the increased user base as much as they are driving the increase. This world is a complicated place and if you truly believe there is a singular source responsible for the increase you are...
You're not wrong. You've also come to realize the bigger picture problem is. Our ability as the hunting community to become and act as a unified group is one of the biggest problems. This is why we continually get beat around by the animal activists and environmentalists because they have...
The big thing to keep in mind about the effects of "infuencers" is that what they put out there is essentially a commodity. It doesn't flourish without a customer base that is not only okay with it being there but demands it and uses it. People aren't just stumbling across this content and...
If there enforcement of the new law is as piss poor as their ability to keep people in line it won't help anyway. A large group of people with high numbers or no numbers at all weasled their way in line way towards the front.
I completely agree with this statement. However, that is never going to happen. We can come to terms with that and move on to look for tangible solutions that can be implemented or complain about it.
Wrong agency. Doesn't matter how much money the state agencies save by not spending on R3 they sure aren't giving it to the feds.
The feds gaining more land to pay to maintain with the money they already don't have doesn't help the problem.
PS I am not trying to defend any of the social media...
Matt has a list of "problems" as long as my arm. I would have to write you a book to cover them all.
If we are talking overcrowding the root cause is that there is not enough access for the current demand on hunting. Doesn't matter why that many people want to hunt. A good start would be to...
He presents real problems but his solutions are either impractical or do not address the root cause of the problem. You have to treat the causes not the symptoms. Take de-foresting for example. You don't blame social media for telling people how great forest products are.
Be careful not to blindly drink the Koolaide. He makes some good points from time to time but almost all of his conclusions and recommendations are made solely from personal opinions of his and not from any scientific data at all. Note how many times he says "Now I'm not an expert but". He is...
How long have you been applying? If you are looking for your first elk hunt and haven't drawn in a long period I think you need to start with a little research and lower your standards a little bit. A lot of good hunts out there.
Both items stay on the optics. I don't have a great way to hold the spotter adapter shut other than using the scope cover but I will probably incorporate one more magnet.
