    Oh, the irony!

In case those still haven't caught on, I'm only feigning PLT support to spite those who think they should own/control/manage all the wildlife on OUR collective public lands because they benefit the most from it. You can stop "@-ing" me. This is in fact a cold dead hands issue for me.

    Oh, the irony!

I was viewing all WA state lands the same. WA is better than basically all other states in that we have a state constitutional mandate that any money generated from the sale of public lands be used to purchase other income-producing land. We have WDFW and State Parks where public access is a...

    Oh, the irony!

Sure you could say they get a helluva deal. Just not as good of deal as you get

    Oh, the irony!

We don't actually differ. Same here. But can you not see the position of privilege? Federal public lands are the greatest gift ever bestowed upon me. But only because I was fortunate enough to be born in a state that has a plethora of them. In the amount of time it will take me to write this I...

    Oh, the irony!

31 bucks that no one from my wife's extended family, have ever benefited from. It's only comparable to a hunting lease if you have the ability to hunt, correct?

    Oh, the irony!

Not all Western states sell their lands. WA has more now than at statehood. BF you are confusing "right" with legally correct. The federal public lands legally belong to the feds and wildlife (management) legally belongs to the State. There's no argument from anyone about that. @Treeshark has...

    Oh, the irony!

What are you talking about? It's literally the most important level of government. They have the most control over your day to day actions

    Oh, the irony!

not really, I was more pointing out the hypocrisy of certain groups of sportsmen giving the middle finger to NRs with one hand whenever wildlife is mentioned but then asking NRs to bail them out from their own voting-induced public land issues. "We're all in this together! All for one and one...

    Oh, the irony!

The HT electorate is damn sure aware.

    Oh, the irony!

That's a fair point, but it is, in many ways, a reality. If HT members had their wish Washingtonians would never be allowed within Montana/WY/ID. But I'm supposed to sit over here and give-a-shit that those same members elected idiots who want to divest themselves of the greatest asset they've...

    Oh, the irony!

case law has nothing to do with a person's view of right or wrong, just ask those on either side of the abortion issue.

    Oh, the irony!

Migratory birds are managed at the federal level because they annually migrate across state lines. Yet the more we look the more we find so does all the other wildlife.

    Oh, the irony!

I'm practically 1000% against any effort to transfer public lands, and have and will continue to fight against it every chance I have. But from a principles standpoint, I don't see how some high-horsed people can say it "makes sense" to have wildlife managed by the state strictly for the...

    Oh, the irony!

Just wait until you've suffered through the 8th, 30-page diatribe detailing how every public land hunter's woes, or wildlife problems in general, are caused by WA NR hunters.

    Oh, the irony!

Wait, so I'm supposed to get worked up and come to the defense for a public resource, in a state that chose to elect these people (idiots), a public resource that supports the wildlife that I'm either completely excluded from or ridiculed for accessing? You made your bed, now you have to sleep...

Study on whitetails in NE WA

You can't find a graph similar to ^ anywhere on the wdfw website or in any of their recent reports/publications. It's almost like they deliberately don't want hunting to know for many fewer deer are on the landscape than just a couple of decades ago.
