    Scope mount cooper

    I got a leupold vx5 HD mounted on my new cooper at scheels last night but the scope barely fits with the Talley bases that came with the rifle. Also the eye relief is a bit off and there is no way to adjust it. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do?

    I’m from minnesota and we rarely have to deal with shooting long distances and especially in heavy wind. How do you guys figure out what your hold should be at a certain distance with a certain wind? Just trying to figure out some sort of system before missing a good animal because of it.

    Went out and dident have any issues I felt better being on the mountain then I did at home. Climbed 5-10 miles a day went up to 9500 feet a few times packed a cow out 2 miles with a 1500 elevation change. Out hiked my brother who never had COVID or anything so I feel pretty good.     Seeing lots of elk just no big bulls go higher?

    No found lots of huge tracks but I’m a Minnesotan so every track looks huge. We were up at 9000 ft just above the snow line. Found beds of single large elk in timber.

    Found a good area with lots of big bull sign but my father messed up his knee on the climb and we decided to shoot a cow. But will defiantly check the area out harder next year.

    We are hunting at 7600 feet and have seen around 200 elk but all cows and spikes. would you guys go higher up the mountain to find the big bulls or stay with the herds?

    Went in and they said you are in amazing health did x rays of my lungs and vascular system and blood work everything was great. They said i probably ruptured a blood vessel coughing and that’s all it is. Just going to take it cool on climbing up the mountain and see how it goes.

    Thanks i plan on going to urgent care in the morning to see what they say. Hopefully nothing to serious. My sister in law is a nurse and thinks i ruptured a blood vessel coughing or caused a tear in my lung and it just keeps re opening when i cough more but who knows
