Not sure what wrench you're using but the valley on some are very narrow when you break over and can be easy to miss. I have a harbor freight one that is like that, they also aren't very accurate at the lowest end of their range.
Ghost bids by the seller or an acquaintance to drive the price up. If they get you in a bidding war the seller will contact you for a second chance offer at your highest bid due to lack of payment from the "winner" if you stop bidding.

Pretty similar to what I did, had some local code I had to follow. In the center I dug it about a foot and a half deeper and filled with sand for water to escape and lava rock over the top. Also did a ring of pea gravel on the outside just to keep things kosher.

I don't think your accubonds are running higher than normal (around a buck a bullet seems right for those), but the primer prices you have listed definitely are. $30-40ish for 1k before this current madness, I've been getting them for around 50 per k right now. Powder is about spot on.
