In 2016 I wrote somewhere on here, that no matter who wins, it's not gonna be as bad as you think it will be. I know certain folks could argue against that, but I do think for the vast majority, it's the truth. I've seen apocalyptic claims from either side of the financial machines for 20 years...
You are arguably living in the most expensive valley in the USA. Montana and the West has a lot of valleys. Unless you have a compelling reason to move to Oklahoma , I’d keep a close eye on the baby in that bathwater.
I'd never heard of this magazine before last year. Now I know 2 people within 500 yards of me who subscribe to it and spend more annually on fashion than I do annually on truck payments.

Though the state of MT hasn't seemed particularly interested in getting better harvest/hunter data from its residents, it would be interesting if we could track NR hunters better. Not sure how you would do that without violating their rights.
Had Tuesday off and went out in my stomping grounds...
It would be interesting to compare the budgets of these state governments against the amount of money expended annually in their states on wildfire over time. I know in Montana, the state pays a very small portion of the total amount of funds spent fighting wildfire and we have had years where...
Been kind of fascinating to see how folks feel about this bear on social media. Bears are cool animals, and bring forth sentiments in the extreme for many on either side of the coin. I've seen diatribes against the driver of the car, poetic tomes of love and anthropomorphism, obituaries from...
I like this topic. My 10 year old son shot his first deer - a 2 pt muley - last week. It was a misty-eyed moment for me. For lots of reasons associated with his joy and progression, but also because even after being one for 15 years, I just can't comprehend that I am father.
When someone asks...
Too bad. Very cool bear.
There’s real risks to bears that kill them often, and there’s perceived risks to bears that basically never kill them but are often whinged about. We should focus on the former.
Kerry White seems to leverage CBU as a tool to either support or oppose his own personal whims. They are an organization without principles.
I’ve been in some meetings with him in the last few years. Very professional when he needs to be, but a chameleon dependent on the crowd and often a liar...
Just a thought, a lot of rural MT schools are going to 4 days a week. My daughter's high school has been for a decade now. If I were a teacher, I'd be lookin at those.
Oh man. I'm following and can't wait to read about this.
I feel like I recall you once writing that you and your spouse were not going to have children. Whether or not you planned to, I suspect you both will be fantastic parents and I congratulate you.
I think it might be deeper than that. What sort of behaviors/information would an alien species miss out on regarding human beings if essentially every male homo sapien died at the age of 17? That's kind of where we are at with mule deer.
That said, I agree with most of where you are coming...
I was told that a lot of these campaigns check with the county election offices a couple times a week to get the list of registered voters who have yet to vote. Theoretically, if you turn your ballot in those particular callers/texters will write you off. Please do, I say.
To the poll...
I wouldn’t say that “they” are any less likely to share ideals of conservation. Almost all of everyone’s role involved is circumstance. That said, I think rural folks need to be spoken up for, because they are often the type of folks who don’t speak up for themselves, and they increasingly feel...
