Not many times you know you'll have a tag before the draw. Don't count out elk after your waiting period...some good bulls get killed in Nevada on flat ground every year.
Will be a great year for antler growth. As I've proved to @NVDesertHunter I would rather be lucky than good, especially when it comes to the Nevada draw

Show some photos from prior Nevada hunts. Here are a couple great days from last year:
Doubled up out of the same flock in the ice.
Opening day buck. "Goofy" was hard to photograph.

Hunted for three days in south central Idaho. Saw 1,000+ elk, some deer, one cow moose, zero ticks, and zero bears.
Hunted low and high. All looked good. Going to need a new spring bear spot.
That's awesome. The first (and only, so far) banded can I've shot was at the Ruby Lake NWR. Was banded there three years prior. Same with my first cinnamon teal band.
As the former chair for the Nevada Chapter of BHA I would like to echo Ben's thoughts. Do the work you're inspired to do and the hell with the rest.

Sounds like distributions in excess of basis to me, but that's with the limited information. Time for a new CPA if he couldn't clarify that for them.
Took a break from a large extension and found another tax question.
Back to the grind.
Wolves have been around, but this is the first confirmed sighting by NDOW in Elko county that I can recall. I guess time will tell if they move with the migrating herds or if they are residents.
