2 points every year assures outfitters’ clients will draw at least until the NR demand reaches a level that 2 points is longer 100% odds. I’m sure they will be back with their hand out again though. Sadly the original version of 143 was probably better than this garbage.
I could be wrong but I think the push back on the amended version is from the bills writer. I believe the statement I heard/read was along the lines of “the original bill or no bill at all”
All this talk about pricing the common man out of hunting makes me wonder does said common man not have any hunting in their own state? Why is it a requirement that the common man hunt out of state?
The cheap NR youth any elk/deer/antelope tags can go too. Make a youth price on the type 4,5,6,7 tags if they have to have a “special fee” And yes I have kids before anyone starts the “oh the children” posts.
Nevada and Utah LE licenses off the top of my head. MT isn’t too far behind. If I could get a bull elk tag every year in WY for $1,100 I’d take it and laugh all the way across I80.
This bill is written better than the last few of its nature. I think it has good chance to pass this go round. There is a growing faction of WY residents that want more opportunity in their home state especially with opportunity decreasing and demand increasing in other states across the west...
