I've been watching this since 1982, year in and year out (no matter snow pack level) it's May 13th until things really pop!
No doubt we'll find a few between now and then but that's going to be when most all the state really gets to going and the hills come alive with bruins. (side note, there...
Boy howdy you're right about impossible some of these lands are impossible to ascend, descend, cross etc. My wife had a permit in there this last fall and we often found ourselves in places impossible to negotiate!
Add this CE if it goes thru (which I'm sure it will) to the one that's already...
How'd the bear hunt go?
I've had 7 knee surgeries, including total's on both. So, I'm no stranger to rehab either...
I do have about 20 years on you though.
Neat rifle, that dog has to hunt again!

My guess is that...
Fair Weather---take a look see around for some stubble that's privately owned then go and introduce yourself to the farmers and see if they'll let you give it a go in their fields. If they will you're on the way.
You don't need a boat or a dog or a 3 1/2 mag...just a handful of dekes. Ideally...
Yeah Bigbuck I've used that one as well.
One of the keys to getting a bruin to come is to play a tune that perks his interest. That's one of the nice things about spotting a bruin first so you can observe how he is or isn't responding to your call. Don't be afraid to mix up he cadence, the...
The Cow Girl is a rock star when it comes to being user friendly and great as a predator call when you really after it with it. Couple years back I called in a corker red phase to 34 yards with it. Then last fall called in a really good black phase to 42 yards with it.
