February is a good time to see what winter is like. You could fight the tourists and watch the start of the Iditarod. Maybe catch the lights. It will be a slow time otherwise because lots of things are only open during tourist season. Juneau is a fly-in/fly-out city. No real "easy" way to go...

Kill a deer in Illinois. Close, there's 70 in that pile. Had to count them so we knew how many were left on the tree taking it down. I don't know how many others I had that got lost. They didn't have harvest pins when I got started so that adds more to my tally. We ate fairly well.
Only competition I cared about was filling the freezer. I've done pretty good over the years. First one in 1976. This pile of harvest pins is only part of what I had. Each one represents a different deer. We used them for ornaments on the Christmas tree.
