Same trip in the M Breaks my son saw a set of 4 wheeler tracks going around a post notifying no vehicle access beyond this point even though the post had been pulled out of the ground, it was still laying there. My son reset the post before walking in to hunt. He returned several hours later... -

Well in my younger days I'd have confronted the guy and probably kicked his ass if he started the what you gonna do about it shit, now in my senior years I'd still have confronted him (hard to break old habits) and just turned him in, and be damn glad my 2 daughters weren't there to witness it... -

Looks bigger on the side view to me but I'd shoot him for sure and guess 83 cause I always like to guess a little low than a little high. Wouldn't be surprised if he's 84 though. -

"Rude and unethical" hunter seeks feedback
There are always things that are rude toward other hunters even on public land, however what you did was not one of them, congrats. Many a time I've looked at other hunters in the field and said to myself " you son of a bitch" perhaps them going after an animal I'm watching or other actions... -

What do look for??
Good prongs minimum 5". 14" to 15" tall, and good mass above and below the prong. Look at enough antelope and all these will be evident, I hope. Very few bucks without a 5" prong unless they are unusually tall like 16" or better will score in the high 70's. I don't compare things like length... -

I keep hearing there are fewer hunters today than in years past, which may very well be true, then explain to me why I see butt loads more hunters in all the places I've been hunting my entire life, cant think of one spot where I see less hunters today than I did 5, 10, 15 or 40 years ago?- u1299

Pronghorn Field Judge Pics
You have the base and 1st qtr below the prong with the 2nd qtr above the prong 99.999% of the time. The reason you like the prongs to be high is so the 2nd qtr is taken just at or close to the top of the prong where the mass is usually heavier. Can't help myself posting on antelope threads... -

Without pics to look at this is pretty good advice. In almost every case an 80" buck will have big prongs 5.5" or better and be a 15" minimum and have good mass above and below the prong. I guess knowing this we're back to being able to know what a buck with these features looks like in the... -

Do I need a spotting scope?
Would you consider hunting without your binoculars? If so, then you probably don't need a spotting scope, but if you think you need 12 power binoculars you also need a spotting scope. That's my honest opinion, I wouldn't be without one but there are a few occasions when I don't pack it. -

It's not just one specific issue where I may differ that causes me to cancel a membership with these organizations or not even join, rather a pattern or shift from what I believed was their initial beliefs and goals.
