    2022 Toyota Tundra

I slid off the road in 4h a month or so ago. I punched it trying to get some momentum through the ditch to get back on the road and the traction control ended up cutting power and killing my momentum. By the time I hit my mts button and selected deep snow I was stopped. Dont know if it would...

    2022 Toyota Tundra

Other than the remote start having been killed when I opted out of connected services I've been enjoying mine. I put a decked drawer system in it. If you get one for this truck get the snow kit. On my ram the decked platform went all the way back to the tailgate. There is a 2" gap on the...

    Montana Mule Deer Mismanagement

I just got my annual prank call. Really awesome to try to remember what districts you hunted while trying to get dinner at a bar and grill. Also wonder how they know I'm not planning on running down the last muledeer buck in MT with my snowmobile this weekend and executing it with my...

MT mule deer, Gardiner elk permit removal, higher quotas, Heritage season

I would recommend against it and see if you can find a blunderbuss somewhere. You can use anything lying around for projectiles, so you can #keephammering, even with our current supply chain woes. Another benefit is that there's great potential of errant, gravel, rusty nails, etc to wound...

Why I prefer GaiaGPS over ONX

I used locus pro at my last job and absolutely love it. Great topo maps for an entire state/country that don't take forever to download. Could easily import KMLs from Google earth. I much prefer it over Gaia, onx, etc for navigating. No public lands layer.

Why I prefer GaiaGPS over ONX

I've had download issues with Gaia. It would stop downloading if the app was in the background. I did recently upgrade my phone from an s8 to an s22 and it handles the maps better. When I download maps, I do it overnight and leave the app open. That seems to work.

    American prairie. What's the issue?

I would be fine with being able to shoot and butcher trespassing cows...that goes for cattle left on public leases past their expiration date too. Screw elk hunting at that point. Cows are tasty.

    Montana Mule Deer Mismanagement

I'm certainly not a statistician, or someone experienced in designing polls. I just have a basic undergraduate understanding of stats for engineering. I fail to see how sampling a random portion of your population gets you better answers than sampling the entire population. You will have the...

    Montana Mule Deer Mismanagement

I was being a dickhead and referencing the lack of miles driven.

    I think I hate ATVs.

Your posts all have the resounding theme of having known some WW2 veterans, climbing up on the shoulders of these giants, and then hurling your rocks down upon those of us who would hunt with sporterized versions of the military arms we came of age with. When asked about details such as how...

    I think I hate ATVs.

The irony and complete lack of self-awareness of this post is hilarious.

Is 9mm a good round for elk?

Apparently sarcasm is the first thing that rots off the corpse of a dead thread.

What makes one a "good shot?"

    Schnees customer service

Just wanted to update this. I just received my 4th set of Timberlines in as many years. They're a comfortable boot for me and hopefully I'll find of that this set is still waterproof after a year. I do have some salewa raven 3s coming as another option. In my experience schnees has done a...

    Second Node?

I would love to see data of velocity flat spots that is repeatable. What you're seeing is single data points within your velocity error bars line up by chance. It's a testament to the quality of components and barrels that we then find good shooting loads in said "flat spots" OP I believe...

Shadiness in cutting off access in South Dakota

It's really hard to stay civil when you read about this kind of bullshit.

Feathered Friends Volant Puffy Pants and Jacket

I have no experience with the jacket. I have been coveting one for a while and the only negative that it have read is that it is short. Being climbing oriented I think it's meant to function with a harness and might leave something to be desired as a glassing puffy.

    243 and H1000

I used h1000 under 105gr berger hybrids, and 105gr Amax in .243. Shot really well. If I remember correctly I was getting a little under 3100fps. After about 1800 rounds that started dropping quickly and while it still shot well I rebarreled. If I hadn't stumbled upon a bunch of inexpensive 6...

    2022 Toyota Tundra

Let me know if you find something. I used the remote start a few times when I first bought the truck a couple months ago just to try it out. About a month ago I unsubscribed from their connected services. Then I recently tried the remote start (key fob) and it will not function. The article...
