My friend has advanced Retinitis Pigmentosa, I believe he has less than 5% of his sight left now. Thanks for the phone scope idea, I will be looking into that tonight.
I have a blind friend coming to town next week and he wants to do some shooting. I need to buy a long eye relief pistol scope for a rifle so I can be back over his shoulder and sight the gun for him. Anyone done this before? Suggestions on either the equipment or techniques would be appropriated.
The local range here in WI has what they call a "speed dating" night for the ladies only. They get to shoot i think 5 different guns out of the counter to get a feel for what they like and don't like. Perhaps you could find something local to you like that for her to try?
Just listened to the whole WI DNR Web news conference from yesterday, a very good listen if you are interested in what some of the DNR folks think about the season. I found it a lot less editorial than the MJS article linked above.

Just because you can do something does not mean you should do that said thing. But, kudos to you guys for going through with it! 0-9 survey speaks for itself, or 9-0, whichever way it goes. (y)
This tag was on one of the wolves killed in WI yesterday. I suspect the tag is a generic tag typically used for tracking deer, elk, etc. But the guy that got the wolf laughed when he read the tag for sure...
Yes, we do take our deer hunting seriously. I do however think they are somewhat educated. I don't think that the last 3 days are the only time that some of them had been shot at in the last 7 years. Not saying it's right, just saying it's probably happened....
Friend hunted near Bloomer WI with dogs and said he had a blast. Group took 3 all within 50 yards of each other over last 3 days. Group hunted hundreds if not thousands of acres that would not otherwise have been open to hunt anything. Land owners around here want them gone and got a chance...
