I think they are a great addition for glassing, and when paired up under a Gore Tex rain pant, you can ride out some pretty nasty weather. Also they make for another thermal layer to add in when sleeping; I have slept in my puffy jacket and pants when the temps drop, and was glad to have them...
That is what I would like to know as well. I drew the 900 as a resident, and have for 15+ years....but it is feeling like it may become more of a true "draw" with less than guaranteed results for a resident.
This will sound like a geezer recounting the good old days (I'm 46, so "geezer-lite")...
This is all too true. I smack my forehead repeatedly when voters try and justify old GG's policies and frankly, his beliefs, from zealot/religious nonsense to reward the rich/squash the common man mentality.
Or, publicly available info of his stellar hunting track record, such as:

My doc during a recent visit mentioned that flu symptoms, etc. run the risk of being worse for those who have had Covid.
The "long haul" issues even with those who had a mild experience with Covid are the other worrisome unknowns.
The NRA is a relic and a fear mongering dumpster fire. If it disappeared tomorrow, we would all be better off.
Wayne is a fake-ass executive propped up to look like some freedom fighting powerhouse...utter joke, start to finish.
While not "hunting athlete" related (thank baby jeebus), I have been using this program and finding that it works well. The people behind Uphill Athlete are very climbing/mountain running/alpinism focused, and their methodology is based on decades of research and real world use. I like to ice...
I am confused with this whole angle from @mtnprst....how does a trip report to POW fit in with the "de-publicize" angle? https://www.hunttalk.com/threads/pow-sitka-blacktail-2021-diy.304717/post-3197208
Wouldn't you just keep the details of your non-resident hunt to yourself? What am I missing...
I would like to start a new trend of grip and grins, but the photo is only the last 1/3 of the animal, for the "epic, hell yeah ass pic". No antlers, no flat brims, no sweet tribal tattoos, just the animal's ass. (Sponsorship money has left the chat....)

"Montana House Bill 468, which will open hound hunting for black bears and allow the pursuit of black bears with dogs during a training season, has passed the Senate by a vote of 28-22. House Bill 468 now moves on to the Governor’s desk after previously passing the House of Representatives by a...
As others have mentioned, preparedness will be one of your biggest factors in making your hunt a success -- meaning, no epic gear failures, hunt-ending injuries or not being fit enough for a western hunt.
Even though you are "young and strong", do everything you can to increase your endurance...
For a total chainsaw noob who wants a reliable workhorse saw to buck up some firewood or clear a fallen tree instead of using a WY saw (not fun) what would you recommend? I am no lumberjack, but do enjoy sharp objects moving quickly that cut things.
Ha! Touché. There are a few of us here that try to steer clear of the BS or have been here long enough to watch it creep in....it's tough though.
I can't swing my growler of Mountains Walking IPA or hemp bag of groceries from the Co-Op without hitting a bearded "hunting athlete" on their way to...
"I have been running this new 200mm spotter from Like-a-rovski this season, and man, it can really pick apart some ground...."
WTF does 'running' a (fill in the blank) even mean? Do you mean you are "using" a new bow/gun/boot/tent? I heard someone say they are "stoked" to be "running the new...
On Oct. 28, 2000, a Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks game warden cited Gianforte for unlawfully killing an elk in Park County. The case did not go to trial and he paid a fine of $70, according to court records.
Apparently nothing new for old Gregory....rules? Not for that guy. What a D-bag....
