    When it comes to big game I'd add NOT to bring a rifle for yourself. Mostly to keep you from taking over or maybe taking advantage of an opportunity. This will keep you focused on making sure they enjoy themselves and the hunt is about them, not you and they are just tagging along.

    I had been bouncing back and forth between 270 and 25-06 and with all the shortages going on 25-06 was always the one still on the shelf at my local shops. It made my decision for a semi popular/slightly obscure round a little easier.

    EPA shut down our skeet range because there is a slough a couple hundred yards away that has water in it sometimes. We finally had to negotiate with them that we can use it as long as we only use steel shot.

    Weatherby has a 20 round break in procedure on their website and went over it on one of their podcasts a while back.
