Not outside the store but they are nice. Most go with the 16s as they have the same advertised field of view as the 12s, but the 12s definitely seemed just a bit more forgiving and very pleasant to look through. If I went back to the hdx I would strongly consider the 12s for an all around bow... -

I sold my 42s to make room for the 50s. We did have them side by side. Both 16s. I'm used to the omniscan now so it would be hard to go back to the 42s. Battery life was just fine I've been playing with them since launch week and they are still on the original batteries. Maybe the 18s are less... -

I think you could make the argument that for the $ they aren't worth the extra $500 over the 42s but to say they are trash is wild. I had a chance to hunt behind the 16 pros for a week and the omniscan was incredible. Better light transmission and improved color with the 50mm objective and new... -

Not talking alt list, talking released combos. This topic gets beat to death every year. Play long enough in MT and it will happen to you. You would hope the drawing stats include reissued tags and just shows who drew and who didn't because you do lose your points if you draw a reissued tag. But who the heck knows. I'm in with 3. If I pull a permit I'm probably out of this mess until they do away with the combo all together- Edwin

You are underestimating the point buyers who just bought a point in '22 and will buy another at time of app. That is the missing variable in the 12,000+ in line from last year + the 0pt allocation- Edwin

For those making plans for '24 remember 2 points is a good shot but won't be guaranteed. I was in the pool in '22 for BGC with 2 points. 3% of us didn't draw. That number is going to continue to grow as the system continues to be flooded with applicants.- Edwin

You have more faith than I do. These surveys are great if everyone gets one and fills them out accurately. The survey should be attached to your online account and required to purchase next years license. Maybe that's coming, I know they sent turkey surveys online right away after the season...- Edwin

Mule deer archery harvest rates are a wild ass guess at best. Limiting archery opportunity for residents on some of the only public ground in the state should be pretty low on anyone's priority list at this point. Especially when they give out 1800 mule doe rifle tags in the 5 core badlands...- Edwin

The fact that this violation is written against duck hunters every day of the season, e.g. 2 ducks with one shot or over on species or hens etc. Probably the most common violation written but somehow doesn't apply to big game, pisses me off. Obviously unique situation where the landowner pieced... -

So these elk die a half mile apart, no charge. What if they die 100 feet apart? Their action of not looking or leaving it to rot would be the same. When there's 1 hunter and 2 dead elk, I don't really understand why they couldn't be charged. Even if the hunter is clueless to the fact he hit 2...
