    Tyson vs paul

Seriously, what did anyone really expect from this? It was a promotional stunt, and a weird one at that.

.308 win bullet selection for new reloader

Hard to go wrong with Accubonds. But everything thing I really like to shoot in my .308 is literally-impossible-to-near-impossible to get these days. Favorite is the Hornady Interbond (inexplicably discontinued). I've also shot a bunch of large critters, a couple elk, mulie deer, and a black...

    WTB your reloading extras

I probably have quite a bit of random reloading stuff in drawers and whatnot, and right off hand I know I have a bunch of .30 cal Nosler Partitions, 180gn, that I doubt I will be using - never had a rifle that seems to like them much. I don't load much .270 these days, so I probably have some...

NOSLER wants to see your success

Not the prettiest picture ever, but I shot this cow with a handloaded 150gn Accubond, about a 270yd shot across a canyon with the .284 Winchester I built in my office. Great hunt these last few days.

Great hunt with a great friend.

Chris is a good friend I've hunted with a lot of years. We spent most of the day Monday hunkered down about 400yards from a herd of bedded elk. Finally in the late afternoon they started getting up and moving across the slope in front of us presenting the opportunity we'd been waiting for. We...

    Good to be bowhunting again.

Well... I didn't kill anything this September, but I'm definitely not going to quit. Kinda questioning my equipment a little. I feel like I pretty much have to finger-shoot, but the cruddy flipper rest is annoying. Any recommendations for a rest for a compound bow finger-shooter? I have a...

    Speer Impact

The Impact is a bonded bullet. I haven't tried them yet, but I do intend to at some point.

    Good to be bowhunting again.

I've had a lot of trouble with shoulder injuries the last few years. The result being, I had pretty well stopped bowhunting. This past spring I decided to see what I could do, so I got out this old Parker Hunter Mag I've had for years, kept turning down the draw weight to a point I could...

New 30-06. Thinking about trying copper.

My -06 shoots 150gn TTSX bullets very well.

    Boy did I find powder.

I have about a pound left (not for sale). H4895 is kind of an underrated powder.

    Lead Sled Issues

About the only thing I ever use my LS for these days is bore sighting and maybe if I'm doing a barrel break in. I used to use it a lot more, but never really had the problems as pronounced as you're talking. For groups and sight ins, and pretty much anything else, I use a bipod an a rear bag...

    Load Data Records

I have a couple of multiple subject notebooks. I'm pretty meticulous about writing everything down. Often I even cut out my groupings out of a paper target and tape them into my notes on the particular load development.
