Taking a back up rifle?
I always bring a backup and I like consistency. Both rifles are Remington 700 7 mm with same stock, same scope, and both shoot the same ammo equally well. I usually only have several days a year to hunt big game so I can’t afford to have any down time messing with a rifle that is not working...- Cheese Curd

Wide toe box boots?
I tried the Lowa Tibet wide and they were not wide enough. Bought a pair of Crispi Nevada in EE and they fit my feet great.- Cheese Curd

First Western Big Game Hunt where I am applying for tag/tags. Pronghorn and possibly mule deer.
This is good advice. At some point you should be able to hunt out west with your dad and brother, but in the meantime I think you should plan a hunt this year and go by yourself. Interesting Idea on NR license fees
WI just needs to raise NR license fees a good amount across the board and leave it at that. A NR deer license is $160. IMO it should be $250 or more. The guy from IL that has land and a cabin in WI might complain about a $90+ increase but he will still go there to hunt.- Cheese Curd

May Yellowstone and Black Hills Family Vacation?
That's a lot to do in one trip. It can be done, just be sure to give yourself enough time so you're not rushed and you can enjoy what those places have to offer. Deciding on a mount form
Pedestal mounts do take up some room as opposed to a wall mount, but if that's what you want, then do it. Since a floor pedestal mount is a vertical presentation, IMO an upright form with a right or left turn looks best.
