The FOPA should be good in any state. I say "should" because around here there's Maryland, NJ and NY. I wouldn't doubt you'd be hauled in and sufficiently harassed to the limit of a law suit, then released and on your way. Bastiges
Zwickeys are like $25 for 3. They work well and you don't take much of a hit on a loss or damage. They're pretty tough also. Been using the same 3 for many seasons
Sounds like a great hunt, though a bummer. Still shooting the recurve I bought in '74. Stays strung all summer and hunting season.
Haven't done heavy research but I've read the Samik Sage is a decent cheap bow. Amazon
Always a combat tourniquet, particularly in archery season. With most accidents you have time to mitigate, if you cut/tear one of your main lines, your pretty much toast.
Basic first aide, space blanket, ignition sources, munchies, water or filter, good whistle, extra ammo, cordage, lighting...
Don't know your location. Here in PA. No random shooting on state public land.
Only target shooting done on a range with a safe backstop.
Now this means nothing to the thoughtless slobs that ya run into in every walk of life.
I had no desire to rank above E-5. E-6 on 1st hitch extend but I wasn't goin there. Hind site said at 22 ,making E-6 should be a huge leg up for a career but I figured I'd either end up a drunk or shot by a jealous husband.🤣🤣🤣
Just a thought, if tons of hunters cover every inch of our forests here and could exterminate every sounder of hogs. How is it we find huge racks and 700 lb. bear every year?
Work on tuning your arrows. If you find no negative effect from vanes or feathers then use your preference. The name of the game is a correct FOC arrow that flies true.
Have fun and good luck
Read some articles about feral pigs in 11 counties in PA. My county, Tioga, is one and I've not seen or heard of any.
Just curious has anyone seen/killed a feral hog in PA. No fenced operations considered.
