What is the 1 rifle you regretted buying or wished you never had bought?
I saw my nephew this evening and he told me that the rifle cycled 8 rounds without a problem. Looks like the fix worked. He is super excited, likes it a little more than his 30-06. Said he was going to get a Boyd's stock and a new scope. Thanks again!!! -

Alot of good info here. Other things to think about is rifle fit, weight, functionality. Are you making long shots or hunting brush? Do you want a flat shooting rifle? Do you prefer a long action, short action, bolt or lever action? Me personally I have bolt actions in a short and a long action... -

Brings back memories of our old farm. I had a sow (Porkchop) that we got 42 lbs of bacon off of. Raising and slaughtering pigs is how I got my kids ready to hunt. Your Favorite Rifle
My Ruger M77 MKII 7MM-08( TOP) and .280 Remington( BOTTOM) love them both. It's a toss up. -

Looking for new gun
308 is not a bad round, shoot what you are comfortable with. Bigger is not always better. If you have a rifle you trust to do the job, then that is all you need. I have been known to use my '09 Honda civic hybrid. Fine for most conditions as long as I don't get too much snow or mud. Then it's on to a 4wd. -
Do it all caliber and bullet weight
What is so wrong with a little plain Vanilla? I own a .280 rem and don't mind that it is not a popular round. What will an 0-6 do that a .280 can't? Not far behind a 7 mag and an ai, the .280 Rem is a good cartridge, just bad marketing and idea to market it in a semi auto. -
