What pistol do you carry on hunts

I carry a 1911 .45. A few years back I climbed up the side of a ridge line to find a sow and her two cubs just 20 yards away on the other side of the brush from me. Thankfully they just wandered up the path and disappeared into the brush on the other side o f the ridge. I decided after that, I...

    Caffeine and accuracy

I seem to remember someone telling me that caffeine and nicotine effect a person's accuracy. I have a hard time starting my day without a cup of coffee, but for health reasons I limit myself to the occasional cup of coffee. I've noticed I'm feeling better on a daily basis.

A second rifle for a Magnum rifle owner

Voted 7mm-08, I own a Ruger M77 MKII stainless and just love shooting it. My other rifle is a Ruger M77 MKII .280 Rem. stainless. If I had to pick up another rifle I would probably look for something in a lever action 45-70 or .308.

    Father & Son Hunt

Good luck on your father son hunt. Washington is a difficult state to hunt, mostly because there is limited public land to hunt, mostly private. I'm not saying there isn't good hunting there, just difficult. You are probably spot on picking up the Warehouser pass, that is if you can draw one...

    This will affect my hunting

I thought I might share this as of current. I think this could be good news for all of us. It is a first step in the direction of opening things back up. I know that this is still a restriction, but I think with time and patience things will get back to normal shortly.

Content Production - What and How to Present?

It might be nice to see an around the campfire type of episode. Stories of memorable hunts, how to plan what gear to take and just about anything you can think of that goes on around the campfire. I think some good stories would come up.
