    truck travesties

I love so many things about the story of the 5-year old kid and the coon. Need more of that kind of stuff happening in kids' lives.

    Scope Recommendations under $200

I think you have received some good recommendations. I'll add my experience with Nikon Prostaff scopes. I have Nikon Prostaffs on three of my guns and have only had good experiences with them.

    Caitlin Clark

In all honesty, I have often struggled watching girl's or women's basketball. Just a different style of play from men's that I usually don't find as entertaining. But I thoroughly enjoyed yesterday's game. The shooting was incredible, some of the passes that were delivered were mind boggling...

    2023 spring turkey!

Draw tag opens in one week. Too bad it's still a snowpocalypse here. Got 30+" of snow at my place just this week. Probably going to wait for decent weather and some high pressure, then go out and help my daughter get her first bird.

    Sh*t our kids do

My oldest daughter is forever doing things like this. She is very tactile. I have a picture of her somewhere looking like she is straight out of Avatar. At least she can clean herself up now.

    Show me your square body

I drove an 84 Chevy Scottsdale through high school, as did four of my siblings before me and one after me. Looked exactly like this with the same two-tone paint scheme. Teenagers didn't know how to take care of that old ride, but it took care of us.

"Well, you came up here for adventure, didn't ya?"

Exactly what I needed as winter drags to an end and I am nearing cabin insanity. Fantastic adventure and a write-up that does it justice. Core memories for you on that trip.

    2023 spring turkey!

My daughter and I both drew tags for the early season this year. I've done well in the later general season but this should get us out there with fewer people. With as much snow as we have right now, we might be hunting in the white stuff, unless it really starts to warm up. I'll start scouting...

    Worst Places in WY

Rock Springs has always struck me as a really tough town. And I lived in Great Falls, MT for 20 years.

Looks like a heck of a bull sprig there.

Will the Great Salt Lake dry up?

Pretty sure I could walk there and only need waders like twice. They built a large fence around much of the east side a couple years ago to try to keep domestic sheep off the island, and keep the buffalo out of the neighborhoods. It's getting mighty dry.

    You’re aN Idiot

I am a fan of the good old term 'D-bag.' It says so much with so few letters. Good luck with your high road resolution.

    Lessons from hunting a ranch

There are some incredibly kind and generous landowners out there. I've been fortunate to build some genuinely great relationships that simply started with a knock on a door or a conversation on a gravel road. They are a gift. Thank you for sharing your experiences and for reminding us just how...

Haven't we all done some equivalent of this for past or present loves? I'm married to mine. Just wondering at what point I am going to get water swatted?

    Let’s make a deal…?

Those are some tough experiences. It's always uncomfortable for me to ask, but I haven't had any really bad experiences. I had a crappy door-to-door sales job one summer in college. Had a handful of bad experiences with that one. Hoping things work out and you have a good experience with your son.

    Let’s make a deal…?

I like this. Something to consider might be going out with him to knock on some doors and build some relationships, especially if you're willing to work. My dad did that with me and it taught me a lot of lessons. I have also found that some landowners love seeing kids have success too, and they...

    Crippled on Kodiak

Quite an adventure! Amazed that you get to experience that type of thing with your wife. I love my wife to death, but I would describe her as "indoorsy." Outdoor adventure is not something we get to share together.
