My butcher’s sad excuse for a “brisket” on a 1/4 cow I bought early this year. It was just under 4 pounds. Although it was labeled a brisket seems like it was just a flat... or half of a flat I guess. Tasted good, was juicy but not quite as tender as I would have liked. Yesterday it was burnt ends day on a new Pit Boss 850 I recently got. Poor Man’s Burnt Ends (cubed chick roast) with Meat Church Holy Cow seasoning and Salmon with lemon pepper, hot honey and green onions. Turned out pretty good.- chuckchili

Ecodiesel experiences
I had a 2016 Dodge 1500 Ecodiesel, bought new and had it for about a year and a half- 65,000 miles. During that time it was in the shop at least five times for extended periods due to an engine issue- in the shop long enough each time that I was on a first name basis with the car rental counter...- chuckchili

What's on the smoker today?
Just some old boring Texas Twinkies and cream cheese. I made some hot honey (honey, red pepper flakes and apple cider vinegar) to drizzle over the cream cheese which made it pretty dang good. In hindsight, I shoulda smoked the honey too.- chuckchili

Lever action restorations
If that was mine, I would consider that the scope mount screw holes have already effected the collector value so I would reblue. I would also assume that you could have those holes filled prior to refinishing and it would be like they were never there. Then get that thing back into the woods. (y)- chuckchili
