    Another Which Cartridge Poll

If they are comfortable with your 06 then maybe they would shoot the mag just fine. But with the 7-08 comes 2” less barrel and a short action ilo long action. A lighter, easier to carry firearm with easy recoil will make life sweet. The 7-08 has performed well for us on mule deer and elk with...

    Best new 3/4 ton gasser?

For a 3/4 ton gasser I’d be looking for a Ford with the 6.2 or maybe the new 7.3. Both tow like a beast and the 7.3 is getting about 15 mpg without towing which is about the same as the 6.2.

    Elk Hunt Unit 1 Arizona

Negative. Members hunted the prime time during the peak rut but there were no non-member hunts.

    Elk Hunt Unit 1 Arizona

Should be awesome, have fun. My advice would be to enjoy every moment, that’s a hunt many will never get the opportunity to experience. Also, shoot within your abilities and don’t wound a bull.

    RIP, Dad

RIP so glad you had many opportunities together. My son has a similar condition. It is my mission to cram every memory and experience in now while he is relatively strong and able.

Neat question. Maybe you should start a post about it. I chose the .25 SST. My 72 lb 13 yo isn’t going to be shooting a .35 caliber bullet traveling 2800 FPS. But thanks for raising my awareness.

Bill, you quoted me. If I meant cartridge I would have said cartridge. I’m cracking up at all the 6.5 guys (yes, you’re one of them) who get all defensive when someone chooses anything other than a 6.5 diameter bullet. In this case I chose the .25 SST cartridge because it provides exceptional...

I outlined it “all” in the OP. Everything from Javelina to Elk.

So apparently diameters are rectangular or triangles or hexagons or some shape other than round?

All the guys trying to defend the 6.5 are cracking me up. Nothing wrong with that round. Also nothing wrong with shooting something else. 🤣
