Up until Ohio did the online or call in reporting, you also had to bring the whole carcass out and take to a check station. This prevented me from hunting a lot of the public because there is no way you would have drug one out of some of the hollers on public I always wanted to hunt. I called...- dcopas78

They stopped the license on the back thing several years ago, as well as the metal tag. Now it is call in or online reporting system and you write the confirmation number on your paper tag.- dcopas78

How bad is a 3/4 ton truck off road?

Free deer and a good helper
My son and I spent the afternoon working up a deer that my dad's neighbor shot and gave to us. Do I NEED a bino harness?
I went without one for the majority of my time since I started hunting. I got my first one when I went on my first western hunt and I won't go without on again. It saves a lot of strain on your neck. -

Kinda goes along with this thread....pics my dad sent me today of my 6 year old dismantling a deer head after dad caped it for a shoulder mount. He took the eyes out (without popping), tongue, jaw bone, etc. I think dad has his apprentice in the taxidermy biz lol. He's at least ready to break... -
Soups/stews
I guess you could call it a soup or stew. Low country chicken bog. I largely follow Hank Shaw's recipe. I like using pheasant for the stock/meat. It takes some time to render your own broth, but it is so worth doing it the long way rather than just using chicken broth. And the conecuh...- dcopas78

My soon to be 7 year old has been on both with me. I will take him on some private this spring for his first turkey hunting. It is not the normal deep woods stuff I hunt, but I can set up blinds for him and he can see the turkeys out in the fields, so it will make it more enjoyable for him... -

It started back in the mid 2000s, particularly 2006 when John Schmucher killed his 290+non typical and Justin Metzner killed his 196 typical (on public land btw). I've started doing half tomato juice from our garden and half V8 juice for the liquid component. Something we tried and liked.
