That bull would NOT be considered excessive divergence. It would be permissible to take the measurement out towards the beam tip (or widest location) providing it is perpendicular with the center of the skull.
Like Rocky said, it’s 20”. Once an elk has 20” of abnormal points it will be entered into the non-typical category, providing it makes the minimum score of 300” net (which this one will easily).
Wife’s first elk…..one arrow at 31 yards did the trick…….70 yards later he was hers. To say she was excited is an understatement. 😁
We had one other person in camp that had a tag to fill….my son came up to watch and we were able to get that done this morning.
I’ll play…..first AZ black bear arrowed ant 30 yards as it was ‘woofing’ at me. Ear tags too (problem bear according to G&F). Not a big one, but an ornery one.
