Numbers out there are horribly low... I haven't been quite that far east lately, but the Custer/Musselshell road, where Id see 50-200 lope on a drive through 5 years ago... will show me 0-10 lope this summer.
Good Job finding one.
So... what holsters you guys using for the G20? I am probably going to pick one up this week... cant fricken wait. I love my 44... 629 Mountain gun... but just wanting to try something different!
Lots of sound responses here Raider... there are a few guys that make it look easy... but most guys have experiences just like yours... there are a bunch of guys that work their asses off and get into the elk pretty regularly... Just keep after it. The elk are out there...
In my opinion, you are in as good a spot as any to find a good whitetail... Anywhere from just south of you around St. Maries, all the way to Canada... My fav spots are up around priest lake... plenty of 140ish whities up that direction...
On the other hand... if you have a great spot in 56...
I dont know him Wing... I know some of the other guys that were hunting up there at the time and they took the pic and Trent told them his rough score.
I am getting no closer on deciding weather I want to try the sportears or not... lotta money... for starters though, I think the surefires look...
By the way Wing... I saw the pic email I got with Trents bull said 372...
Yeah... the sure fires look good for starters... I am unfortunately probably in the market for an "aid" too...
I understand they aren't custom, but what I read was that they are basically the same gun as the customs... nothing in the action or barrel/stock are different... I do understand the custom could have a different than standard length of pull... trigger weight set to XX... stuff like that.
I"ll...
The suppressor would be nice for hearing protection, but my prob is, I think I would benefit from some hearing enhancement too... Way to much, "Whats that?" "Huh?" "What did you say?" or just smiling and nodding along not knowing wtf someone was saying... especially when in a busy room with...
I talked to the sport ear sales rep for about 1/2 hr this morning. Take a look at their site... They have some interesting products. Frankly, I am interested in the top of the line "hearing aids" plus protection. The good ones have some sort of deal that will minimize my tinnitus (ringing)...
Who all use hearing aids/ear plugs while hunting?
I have really messed up ears and nowadays...even one shot from my rifle will ruin my dam week... the ringing is horrible...
I know there are a number of form fitted products that suppress noise over XX decibles and also amplify normal noises...
I am not familiar with the road system at all, but the roads that are not accessible to the general public should be designated closed or administrative use only... when the travel planning is completed. just my opinion...
