Well...you keepin after it or are you just sittin in the garage admiring the two beauties you already pulled out of there???
Hopefully some snow has helped??? Snow there?
I'll be up there Friday afternoon through the weekend... if things look "ok" I'll come back Wed-Sunday. Got a cow tag to fill and always get achance or two at a muley...
Google the showdown webcam too.... its a good way to see current conditions...cameras down at lodge and up on top...
Its pretty bleak for snow conditions up there right now. Last week, after the "big storm" hit there was maybe 3-5 inches up high on spur park... and below that a dusting on top...
I too would like a second... this is the first time I haven't had my elk tag for rifle season and its making me sad... I do plan to drag girl friend around up there...but now the weather is gonna get all balmy and the elk are gonna sleep all day!!
GH... you got a tough kid to drag around up...
That is awesome... congratulations.
If you get a chance, pull back a bit from that rack and snap a pic or two! He's obviously a pig, but I'd like to see it with a little more perspective and scale! Those alder rubbed bones are always awesome!
Has MT ever entertained the idea of giving points to people who tattle? I know in Washington they do and I know a few guys that have scored well on getting points. I would turn them in regardless... but I do think there are those that wont go through the trouble without a little incentive...
Thats pretty dang cool Brit... congratulations! I cant imagine the adventure of coming ALL the way over to Montana and getting it done like that! Quite the accomplishment. I hope this doesn't mean you are done with your bi-annual trips!
What if it was her dads idea, but she's excited to go on a sheep hunt nonetheless? But her dad's out of town?
Would be interesting to hear a little bit about her and her dad...
I seem to have got all my elk in the timber as well... my shortest was 40 yard bow kill and longest was 100 yard rifle... average is 66 yards. Not that I will not take a 400 yard shot if the situation comes up, but it hasn't...
Nice job!
how much weight can your goats pack? I have packed with them a few times, but never could nail down a good safe number. I know it varies per goat! 40-80 pound range??
Congrats!!
I have been reloading using a traditional scale and trickler for about 25 yrs now... I am considering upgrading to an auto dispenser... All my hunting stuff gets weighed perfectly, while some of the target stuff I just check every 5th or so...
Anyhow, Im not a real high production reloader...
