    Sheep question

With 13 of 20 tags filled, you still have about 85% of the mature Rams that we started with out there! Just keep after it, you'll find him!!

    Sheep question

I have no clue what the answer to your question is. Through July and August, then halfway through September, I saw singles, doubles and triples up to 7. Never more than 7 at once. Are you using the river or driving and hiking?

Well Bambi, Most Rams shot are "big" and in the last decade only one 13 YO ram was killed, 2@11, 7@10. 5-9 YOs were 24, 24, 35, 32, 28. So, most Rams are 5 1/2 to 9 1/2, with the 7-8 YOs making up 41% of all the Rams killed. I too think age is a great way to judge a trophy... But if I figured...

By the way, I looked less at length, more at mass related to age, let me look it over tonight...

Hey Bambi, The age/length/mass ratio is almost useless with this herd. I'm sure if you were a statistician, you could figure something out!! I'd gladly send you the stats for the last ten years. Here's a few crazy numbers... All in last ten years. There was a 3 YO killed in 04' that had 16...

jthurs... I haven't hunted priest in several years now... I cant speak to the population, but I haven't heard about any pop crashes or anything, so I assume its still good. The whitey hunting is hit and miss, but overall, in mid November, it is usually good just about anywhere around there!

Oh yeah, I totally skipped a part... When I packed the load of meat down I quickly rummaged through my gear and found my tape. I was happy, but I still didn't know how big he was. I had tried to estimate his length and circumference on the hill and it just wasn't working. When I started...

Then it was in the boat and up the river. Got some thumbs up and waves as I passed other camps. My smile was still stuck on my face!

I skinned him out whole, boned out the meat and stuffed my MR Crew Cab full. Even with 110#, the smiles came EASY! I Love hunting solo and especially the the sense of accomplishment after I get my critter packed to the truck... Just about jogged back up where I left him and my gun... Got...

The smile came really easy. I was seconds away from jetting up the river... Being fairly optimistic, I have a hard time putting my glasses down... It rarely pays off, the time spent behind them, but this time it sure did!!

This guy was pretty... I don't have a good pic of the old one, I'll have to crop one to give you guys a decent idea of what he looked like. Then it was time to go see him. I'd glassed over at him a few times while wTching the three survivors and I knew I was happy with his size. I was also...

I was planning to add a photo or two, but my photobucket app is glitchen... Hopefully soon! Anyhow, I thought "seriously, you haven't seen enough Rams! Don't get in a hurry!" He stood up, facing me head on... Then he turned his head to the left... Then looked back at me. I was looking through...
