Like Phutch says, the breaks rams are interesting because the rules many use in a lot of other areas don't apply! You can't judge by age, as a 10 yr old ram might have 14.5" X 36 and a 6 year old might be 17 X 43. Is it 680 or 622 she has?- Horn Seeker

Thanks all. With the big jump in recoil energy between 308 and 7, I think I'll probably lean toward the 6.5 or 7. Just to be safe, especially since they'll both kill with authority.- Horn Seeker

I have not shot any really lightweight guns, in bigger centerfire calibers, excepting a few lever actions. I know there is a first time for everything, but the 18" number was completely unrealistic. 17 is insane. I bet when its dry it'll be more like 17 even, 17-1. but just my opinion.
