Cross Country rigs
Getting ready to fab a front hitch for my new Ram. I think making the bumpers or hitch parts stout is the easy part. Man these truck frames are thin. The new body Ram front three feet is like heavy exhaust pipes, and hoping to use a 12k lbs winch.- Chippewa

Who glass beds their rifles?
I finally gave it a try on my first longrange gun about two years ago now. It turned out nice. The stock was already pillar bed so I had head start. The groups tightened a half moa between bedding the stock and bedding optic rail to action. I used Devcon Stainless Steel epoxy, green turtle wax... -
What’s your occupation?
Started out landscaping, then to fiber optics environmental testing at Corning(boring), to car audio fab in Bakersfield(fun), to instrumentation in a chem plant back in PA (yuk), and now a high/low voltage substation guy for PPL(lots of o.t.⛈). 14 years already. Man time flys.- Chippewa

New Truck Time - Testing and Sorting
My 2cents: Could always buy simple an get aftermarket shop to upgrade with what you an crew need. I'm frugal too, but hate to have complications to work on during a hunt instead of be out hunting. It was dry dry dry last year for CO. Water was key and know where closed roads are due to fires or last year burns. Don't want to drive that far to figure out where you can't access. -

Just shows your commitment. Cuz one trip through the screaching trees give it character. My rusted out 05 Ram which lost a starter 2hrs up a blm rd got replaced this year. Now I get ragged for the ugly cap on a new truck. Which could use a lift like yours. What for kit did you go with?- Chippewa

First few days on my first elk trip have been a blast. Man you Coloradians have it good out here. Our camp isn't to bad either. Power an a hot shower. Except the little pump froze up today.
