I got a wicked ridge invader for the purpose you describe. I have been impressed with it. My boys are on the edge of pulling 50 and my wife is having shoulder issues. It's nice to have for somebody who needs to use one. Wicked accurate 🤣
I don't post my family's pics anywhere, but we sure get a kick out of those like Randy and Steve and others who post up their pics and video in good taste. The grip and grin look at me stuff really doesn't interest me and it is absolutely a detriment to hunting.
I have an icon pro and got my wife a kids mystery ranch popups. Way better design for meat packing. I have packed a lot with the icon, but it isn't set up as well for meat packing.
I haven't found a muzzle brake to be necessary on a hunting rig. I do have mags in same caliber, one with and one without, and the one with the brake is much more enjoyable at the range. But the one without goes hunting 9/10 times.
The barnes bullets seem to do well in a wide range of rifles. They aren't as sensitive to seating depth vs chamber length. Try to find some in federal or barnes.
