Lugging base camp into the backcountry...
I have the opposite problem, I can't sleep well on a cot. I have been in camps with cots and ended up ditching the cot. For me I make a bed out of pine boughs 10"-12" thick. Make sure you practice with your broadheads of choice. Crossbows are not tunable like compounds. I hunted with a crossbow several years due to an injury and ended up shooting mechanicals cause fixed blade didn't shoot well. Have tried several different saws. Silky with original wood blade works once on bone and is trashed. Tried one of the small bone saws from outdoor edge but didn't have the patience to deal with a short blade. Old Powder
I use old black powder for splitting large logs into manageable size.
