I've had a couple of mine threaded for suppressors with no loss of accuracy, if any thing it got better but that's probably due to me not having to deal with the noise and concussion of the muzzle blast.

The two I had rebarrelled I got the the old barrels back with the rifles. Told the Smith he could keep em but he just laughed and said he's got no use for worn out barrels. So now they sit on my scrap steel pile.
I'm probably the oddball here but have been using a cordless screwgun battery and an adapter to charge phone and headlamps . A bit bulky and maybe a few ounces heavier but cheap if you already have the battery anyway. One 5.0 lasts me a week pretty easily.
I built mine out of reject plywood from work and 2 layers of 2" foam. 5' wide by 8' long and 7' high. Coolbot and a window ac , I can maintain 35° pretty easily. I built a framework into the ceiling with a bunch of hooks for hanging deer and elk quarters.
I don't necessarily think they taste better, just more tender if your a steak guy. Elk burger I haven't noticed much difference, but I also haven't shot a bull during the rut so that might negatively affect the flavor.
