My son's 2023 Colorado OTC Public Land Bull!
That was a cool hunt and bull, there is , however, no excuse for being unable to track an animal afterwards, pass through or not! I am thankful for the tracking skills I learned as a kid and the immeasurable skills I was taught by the LRRP's who mentored me ! -

Big toe injury
I hope you get some relief soon. I am on about 6 months of foot pain, some was aggravating a 45 yr old injury , other from carrying too heavy a load up and down stairs and working on concrete floors in a factory setting. Wisconsin 1st weekend deer kill down 16%

Stay away from Coors for a while
I was born in Golden. Lived there till 2nd grade. Pa loved Coors beer. I believe it tastes like crap now , compared to many years ago. Maybe my taste buds are all jacked up, but the stuff just does not do it for me anymore!- vagabond

Just how important is camo to spot-n-stalk western rifle hunting?
They also are incredibly good at picking up movement of any kind , especially low light! I hunt in cheap surplus clothes, so for me, camo is comfy and I feel it gives me an edge, I know not really, but it works for me! No blue jeans please, is my one rule on color.- vagabond

This type of elk hunting is all new to me! With limited time, and a myriad of roads, elk still being elk, albeit in an unpressured environment( by hunters), I would place a hunter in an "elky" hide and do a bit of bird dogging! With all those roads/trails, it would be easy to do! -

Hunting off Skis - Digging out a Troll
A great idea if one has the gear and the physical ability to do it! We hauled all our squad gear on an ahkio years ago with some lousy cross country gear! It got the job done and a GP small arctic is not light! -

Quitters
We pulled and packed out camp a few days early once. We had been packing, cooking and guiding for pert near three months and major cold snap was moving in. It was sunny out and a beautiful time to hunt.... we broke out the beer and pulled camp and headed to the KMR and home!- vagabond

Why do you like your gaiters?
There is always something that isn't quite right with the attire when hunting. I had the same problem with the heavy duty carhart tan work pants many years ago. How things have changed, looking at new bows
^^^ I bought my Mathews on Ebay 5 or so years ago. It was a beneficial purchase for me. I needed to upgrade the Mods to my draw length and finally got those switched out recently! I know, WTF, dude! Anyhoo, the one local shop had such lousy customer service I ordered the mods from Lancaster...
