    New to Montana

Welcome to Montana, I grew up in that area! amazing hunting around there. You can be hunting elk in less than a half hour and hunting whitetail in less than a hour. Mule deer will be a bit tougher to get to. if you want some ideas where to start looking for animals just PM me.

How many quarts of ice chest for mature bull?

we have done the freezer when we hunt for a couple week in Montana. Freeze them before you leave and then run the generator for a couple hours ever day. That works really well especially for a big group when more than one tag.

    Base camp cook stoves?

A couple things to think about as I use them both is the amount of people you are cooking for. When we do a 4+ person trip the camp chef is awesome more burner and bigger pot space for cooking large amounts of food. For a couple people cant go wrong with the old Coleman

    MT Apprentice Hunter Program

My kids were 10 and 11 when we tried it. It was a rough year the first year but that is expected with those age children my 11 year old did not get her deer but my 10 year old son shot a doe at 100 yards. The next year they both shot nice bucks and this year they both shot bucks again. Just a...

Missouri Breaks muley trip - Fort peck area?

I have been doing that hunt for years, couple things to consider if you do this hunt is the weather. If the roads are wet it can suck really bad (bring chains). Don't plan on being out on the lake if the winds pick up and they will a couple times during your trip. If you want a decent but...
