Rifle jam and bear attack.
I'm a meat hunter......my black bears,moose,deer.....shot with ''cheap'' Savage, Remington 700 and Winchester model70's all costing way under $1000. handloads,most under max loads.... heavy for caliber projectiles.....Getting as close as possible.........2 moose did require 2...- NAHMINT

High-End Rifle Scope Discussion
OP asking for opinions of experienced hard hunting folks,he deserves a fair answer...but what do I know, I have a LEO vxII 3x9. on my .300wm. ,other rifles are open sights......just sold my .284 model88...it had a cheap REDHEAD 1.5x5 on it .worked just fine in the thick stuff!! -

Hunter harassment in the field.
Local mounted police take a dim view of legal hunters/shooters being bothered......they will respond quickly if called........ mostly goose hunters in fields in this area(South of me,about 10 miles). Out in the mountains,I would guess 99% of the TREE HUGGERS / LIEF LICKERS know...- NAHMINT

Best lightweight tarp
LOOKS like the rain fly on my ooold FJALRAVEN single person mountaineering tent......found the fly worked fine and did not need the actual tent.......gave it all to a younger fellow I know who was going after mountain goat.........he was shocked at the price of a light weight -quality...- NAHMINT

No, but I do hunt with a ''like new'' MARLIN model 81-BE deluxe bolt action.tube fed .22 made in 1940!! peep site....fine accurate rifle . -
