Worked great on a pig and again on a mule deer. Perfect mushroom on the mule deer. I haven't looked into it but wonder about the velocity needed to perform well affecting longer shots. Not an issue for me under 300.
A buddy has a RUM (Sendero) and right before i shot it for the first time said "it's a great rifle. Kills on one side and maims on the other..." That shook me up but it was one of the most accurate rifles i've shot. The recoil did get my attention though and respect. Not for the faint of heart.
Glad i could amaze you...Mtmuley. lol. that was easy. I see the question as testing my thoughts (of a bubble) against info i may not be aware of not following the crowd or wind.
I've been looking at buying a 280 Rem and noticed that Remington 700's appear to be commanding a price premium now that the company is folding up. What do you think? Is the premium worth it?
What differences? And who said anything about listening to every breath of Von Benedict? I think he drew out some good aspects of each cartridge and gives a buyer something to think about.
Closer is better. Harder to achieve especially out west. If I were really good, I’d only hunt with a bow. But I’m not so use a rifle and limit my shots within max point blank range.
