I need tee shirts that will breath and dry out quick, would like a pocket but I can do without one . My cotton shirts are not getting it ,wringing wet even in the cold temps.
I really think it is the breed, my guy hunts his dogs hard and I think that has a lot to do with keeping up with great genes. I did have lab /GSP crosses and the first one was my absolute best upland dog so far. My little GWP is catching up fast though. Just my $.002 of course
Labs, english pointer,Brittanys, Drath,Springer,lab/shothairs and the pup I have now is a GWP which is a bird hunting machine. I can't do long hair as we have to many weeds here on the ranch ,also I don't care fore cutting cockleburrs out during and after a hunt not to mention all the snow balls...
I have never seen these before,I like Baileys and these look awesome. Great posts and pics. Hunting season sure goes fast, can't wait to chase chucks next year.
I hear you on the rude backpackers, anyone with backcountry savvy will steep BELOW the trail for you. If I'm on the trail and headed back to camp from hunting The first thing I will do is look for a spot to step below trail when I first see horses coming. I ran 29 pack trips this year and most...
Was offered a one year old GWP three weeks ago, folks were moving and was going to give it to a good home. This may have worked out for you if I would have known. I really would have liked to have it but I hate cooking for my self....lol
My GWP is a year and and half old and could care less about fur, feathers are a different story. She is a little machine on chuckars . Just got back From Nevada, wind and snowed over a foot. Bit chilly this week camped out. Birds were kegged up.
Do your GWP's look the same as a DD? My DD who is gone now had a Farley large frame long hair and real fuzzy face. My GWP has a bit smaller frame ,shorter hair . She has eye brows (not real heavy) and chin whiskers but not real fuzzy features like the DD. Just asking as I do not no the difference
Mine would be peoples spoiled unruly damn bird dogs. I can't hunt with my friend anymore on the account of his wild dogs racing around jumping on cars and people, into everything and running the birds off.
