Oldest of the 700’s is a 1977, newest is a 2006. And indeed, I got a couple of these for a pretty great price...

PITA getting one of the old mounts off. Over torqued, slotted screw strikes again. Dremel to the rescue.
Lacrosse Lacrosse Lacrosse. They last WAYYY better than cheapo. I work in wetlands, with briars, ice, etc. In fact was in them all day today. These are the only ones that have been good to me. Same as the knee boots.
Score! I picked up the new rifle today. I had my fingers crossed, and it worked out the way I had hoped. Made in 2006 and is in a black w/blue textured (possibly HS precision) stock with full aluminum bedding block, free floated, decelerator pad. Stock is almost perfect. The rifle is 90%, due to...
I prefer not to have off headstamps, if I get hit by a bus, there is nobody in my family that has any idea what anything is, and I don’t want any of my reloads making it into ignorant hands in the future. Basic paranoia probably.
I guess I’d do it if I was making something like a 350 rem mag...
Wondering if anyone wishes to trade some 270 brass for 30-06? Looking for maybe 100 once-fired cases.
The 30-06 brass is once fired by me or my dad (not range pickups) but is not deprimed and not cleaned. Probably a mix of RP, Win, maybe some Fed. I could deprime and do a quick tumble if...

Screw it, I’m basically OK with any and all methods of keeping drones out of the woods. If it means a poorly hit deer becomes coyote food, so be it. Lest it also become just another excuse for poor shooting ethics, i.e., “we’ll just find it later with the drone”
Drones are one of the single...
I have a pair, 7mm-08 and a 280. In the abstract, I sometimes think I might need to sell the 280, but every time I pull it from the cabinet to consider it, I look it over and go.. “nahhhhh”
I am old enough now to have watched my net worth soar (by my standards)… and then crash (by anyones standards) and then slowly start to recover again…. I am mortgage debt free as of last year, but still cash poor with very very little in the bank and two kids on cusp of college age. Net worth...
Screw the politicians getting involved but why not:
-All NR tags go through an initial draw, LE or gen, moose, etc.
-1st, 2nd, 3rd choices considered
-Qualifying licence
-No points system
-Payment up front
-No returns except death, medical, or military deployment
-Residents get first chance at...
Something needs to change, not sure if legislation is the answer, but the current OTC system is broken. A draw would be more organized and fair. Too bad F&G isn’t addressing the insanity on their own, the writing has been on the wall the last 3 or 4 years.
All I know is I specifically apply in units where I know there is plenty of non-wilderness, in WY there is more of that than I can explore in my lifetime and until and unless I draw each of those tags, I know I’ll be fine. The law is totally stupid, unfair, etc… but it really doesn’t affect me...
