    Added a deer point and got a 3rd choice license for my back pocket. Should be able to combine with my chosen elk unit if I draw that too, which would make for a hectic and fun trip west.

    As an out of towner, I am no expert, but still feel from my experiences that its pretty much the norm when seeing a beautifully managed parcel of land to guess correctly that its private ranch, vs seeing a patch of overgrazed wasteland and guessing correctly it is BLM.

    I helped the odds and withdrew. Quota was cut in my preferred zone so only random was possible. Figured I’d keep accumulating points instead, which allowed me to put in for Utah, since I don’t want to risk drawing both in same year.
